Preventive Care

At Greenridge Dentistry, we firmly believe that there is nothing more important to your long term dental health than proper preventive care. Dr. Luciani and his staff are here to help guide and facilitate the most optimal oral health plan for you and your family. Whether it is a routine teeth cleaning examination or a root canal surgery, the Greenridge Dental staff will provide their expertise and knowledge every step along the way. Our goal is to educate our patients about the best oral hygiene measures they can take at home while we craft unique individually-designed dental plans for them while in the office. Together, we can successfully maintain bright, healthy smiles for years to come.

There are a number of oral hygiene steps we recommend our patients to take to ensure their dental health is maintained at the highest level possible. We always recommend brushing and flossing on a daily basis to keep plaque and tarter build up at bay. Oftentimes, however, brushing alone won’t be enough to keep plaque buildup from occurring. Professional teeth cleanings will provide a deeper clean to remove that hard-to-get plaque buildup. Dental examinations also offer advanced measures to diagnose any problem areas that may not be able to be seen to the naked eye.

Cleanings and Exams

A key component to maintaining proper oral hygiene is scheduling your routine cleaning and exam. Through regular check-ups with Greenridge Dentistry, our professional staff will perform a thorough teeth cleaning along with a comprehensive examination to determine if additional treatments are necessary to maintain optimal oral health.

Periodontal Disease

Periodontal disease (aka gum disease) is the advanced form of Gingivitis – a buildup of harmful bacteria that sits around the teeth and gumlines. The best way to prevent periodontal disease is to keep any tooth decay from building up through routine cleanings, flouride treatments, daily brushing and flossing, and any additional treatments in the office that may be necessary to keep your dental health in its optimal condition.
